Submission guidelines

Please read the instructions carefully and make sure your submission complies with the requirements below.
All the submissions must follow the Springer LNCS format, and are managed through EasyChair.

Full papers

  • Original research contributions (must not be under review elsewhere).
  • Length: up to 12 pages (including references and appendices).
  • Evaluation criteria include: technical merit, originality, and relevance to the conference themes.

Short papers (work-in-progress)

  • Intended for preliminary or ongoing research.
  • Should clearly state the research motivation and early results.
  • Length: up to 8 pages (including references and appendices).
  • Evaluation criteria include: technical merit, originality, and relevance to the conference themes.

Poster and New Ideas Papers

  • Intended primarily for PhD students and early-stage researchers presenting ongoing work or novel ideas.
  • New ideas papers follow the same format and length requirements and will be included in the poster session.
  • Authors of accepted full and short papers are also encouraged to present their work as a poster.
  • Posters must be submitted as an extended abstract.
  • Length: up to 4 pages (extended abstract), plus a one-page A4 draft of the poster (fifth page).
  • Recommended poster size: A0 (landscape); A1 (landscape) is also acceptable.

Special topic sessions

  • Proposals should foster focused discussion on emerging areas or specific sub-topics relevant to GECON.
  • Sessions may include presentation of intermediate/final project results and community-building activities.
  • Proposals should briefly describe: objectives, importance/relevance, and how participation/discussion will be facilitated.
  • Contributions may be submitted as individual papers or as a joint paper to be included in the proceedings.

Tutorials

  • Tutorials should address topics aligned with the conference themes and are primarily aimed at PhD students and early-stage researchers.
  • Proposals should cover existing concepts, current challenges, and future research directions.
  • A tutorial proposal must include: title, abstract, and table of contents.
  • Extended abstracts of accepted tutorials will be published in the proceedings.

General submission information

  • Camera-ready versions must be submitted as PDF and also as source files (LaTeX or MS Word).
  • Templates and author instructions are available on Springer's website: Information for authors.
  • Accepted papers will be published in the Springer LNCS proceedings.
  • Selected papers (up to 10) may be invited to submit extended versions to special issues of relevant journals.
